On a trip to Tuscany, I was able to join a hunt for truffles and enjoy the finds plus many others prepared in several dishes by the Padlot, a group of men who love to cook their local cuisine and serve to friends and guests. Because these truffles are so precious, they are added to the pasta shaved a slice at a time. In a restaurant, you pay by the slice. This painting tells the story of the journey
